Admissions
What degrees are offered at COTK College?
COTK College in collaborative agreement with ORU offers over 19 different degree programs through ORU Online.
Is this an accredited program?
Oral Roberts University is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission to award baccalaureate, masters, and doctorate degrees. COTK College is not accredited by HLC. Students must be admitted by Oral Roberts University and enrolled in university courses to receive the benefits of a fully accredited degree.
If I attend COTK College and ORU will I lose TOPS?
No, you will still be eligible for TOPS provided you maintain the minimum grade point average and maintain full-time status as a student. For more information please visit the Louisiana TOPS program website and the TOPS FAQs page. Please note questions 44 and 45 on pages 14 and 15.
Does COTK College accept TOPS?
No, COTK College is not eligible to receive TOPS funds because of our agreement with Oral Roberts University. Because ORU is headquartered in Tulsa, Oklahoma, we are considered an out-of-state-school by the state of Louisiana.
Does ORU offer financial aid or student loans?
Yes! Because Oral Roberts University is a fully accredited institution, its partnership with COTK College enables enrolled students to pay for their college experience using federal financial aid. To be eligible for such funding, the student must file an Application for Federal Student Aid, also known as a FAFSA, and maintain 12 credit hours each semester.
Will credits from other colleges transfer or can I transfer credits from ORU to another college?
Yes! We can not make guarantees because each school varies, but most general education courses and some major-specific courses will transfer into ORU or transfer out to other schools.
What are the minimum requirements for my student to enroll in the degree program at COTK College?
All applications and admissions requirements are handled with ORU’s admissions department.
How do I apply to COTK College and enroll in an ORU Degree Program?
You will need two applications: one for COTK College and one for ORU.
If I attend COTK College, will I be hired by Church of the King once I graduate?
We do not promise you will be hired by Church of the King if you attend and graduate from COTK College. We do guarantee to make you hireable and a competitive candidate in your area of focus.
Can you enroll at COTK College without being enrolled with ORU?
Yes, we have the Leadership+ Program. Through the Leadership+ Program, students will be challenged and equipped to take the next steps God has for them. You will engage with all aspects of leadership development and spiritual formation while attending four ORU classes. You will be required to do a portion of the work, but will not receive college credit.
